Soil washing with DEME
In the past year, TAUW and DEME Group have once again cleaned PFAS-contaminated soil for many clients using the soil wash technique. In total, this now amounts to approximately 45,000 tons. This is only expected to increase in the coming years as PFAS-contaminated soil is abundant and also causes many projects delays.

Our DEME Hybrid Soil Washing process is a technique that makes it possible to clean PFAS-contaminated soil in a sustainable and circular way. In a thermal process, the PFAS is eventually completely destroyed. Toxic substances are, therefore, no longer moved, as in the classic soil washing techniques, but completely removed.
TAUW and DEME are both actively committed to helping our clients, from government to industry, tackle complicated waste problems. As business partners we offer a complete package: from research and advice to implementation. We aim to make this soil washing technique more widely applicable to help remove additional harmful substances in our environment.
