About TAUW
We have embraced change for nearly 100 years
Almost 100 years ago there was an increasing need for independent and technical advice in the field of water management. TAUW was the answer. On October 13th 1928 the Technisch Adviesbureau van de Unie van Waterschapsbonden (or Technical Consultancy of the Union of Water Boards in English) was founded in The Netherlands. From that moment, we have embraced change. Water and soil, as sources of life, are the roots of our company. And now, 93 years later, we are still shaping a vital living environment where both human and natural capital can flourish.
TAUW has grown from a Dutch company with five employees into an international and employee-owned company of almost 1,300 employees. As a leading European Environmental consultancy firm, we provide environmental engineering services, based on solid knowledge and experience, to both the public and private sector. From our strong base in our six European home-countries, we are making a positive impact all across the globe.

Leading European Environmental Consultancy
We are located in six European countries and are able to carry out projects throughout Europe and support our clients all over the world.
